Facilities Technician

We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and operation of our manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will ensure plant equipment and facilities are well maintained, safe, and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment, building facilities, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and raise requisitions for replacement of worn or faulty parts and tools.
• Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure effective pest control within the manufacturing environment.
• Serve as the first point of contact for facility security-related concerns and escalate issues when required.
• Participate in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and committee activities.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Manager, Engineer, or Senior Technician.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in facilities or plant maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance systems.
• Hands-on, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
