About the Role

Klinserv Nigeria, a facilities management company, is seeking a Facility Handyman to handle general repairs, painting, light carpentry, fittings, and minor maintenance across its facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform light carpentry, door and lock adjustments, furniture repairs, and fittings installation.
• Carry out painting, touch-ups, and minor surface repairs.
• Handle minor building repairs, including tiles, panels, trims, and signage.
• Perform simple first-line plumbing and electrical tasks within permitted limits, referring complex work to specialists.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned tasks promptly.
• Identify and report defects, hazards, and repairs requiring specialist attention.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and properly organise tools and materials.
• Follow safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain basic maintenance records.
• Support event preparations and peak-period facility readiness.

Requirements

• Minimum of secondary school education; a trade or vocational certificate is an advantage.
• 1–3 years’ experience in general maintenance, building repairs, or a similar role. Strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Practical skills in carpentry, painting, fittings, and general repairs.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and recognise when specialist assistance is required.
• Ability to follow instructions, read work orders, and maintain simple records.
• Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and physically fit.
• Willingness to work shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.
