Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and highly skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee the physical operation and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various trades, the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan.
- General Repairs: Complete daily work orders for structural repairs, including patching drywall, painting, repairing door locks, and fixing fixtures.
- Emergency Response: Quickly diagnose and resolve emergency maintenance requests to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular safety inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and local building codes.
- Documentation: Accurately track labor hours, inventory, and completed repairs using facility maintenance software.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist in overseeing external contractors for specialized or large-scale repairs.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in commercial or multi-family facility maintenance (or an equivalent level of experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, and carpentry).
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of HVAC systems, hand/power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Certifications: Valid state driver’s license; EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) and specialized trade licenses are a strong plus.
