Facility Manager

Job Summary

Lead and manage commercial high-rise, campus, or property portfolios by overseeing leasing, construction, engineering, and building operations to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial high-rise, campus, or property portfolios to ensure efficient building operations and maintenance
• Develop and implement programs to reduce cost inefficiencies across property management functions
• Oversee leasing, construction, and engineering activities to maintain and improve property standards
• Monitor and maintain Building Management Systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Track financial performance by managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for property operations
• Interpret construction specifications, blueprints, management agreements, and contract language to guide operational decisions
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Work Order Management tools to coordinate maintenance activities
• Apply strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare reports and presentations
• Leverage knowledge of financial systems such as Yardi to support financial tracking and management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or certifications from International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) or Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
• Experience with critical system environments
• Experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management
• Experience in developing and implementing cost-saving programs
• Other engineering, business, or technical training or certifications
