The opportunity


Join our facilities and infrastructure team as a Facility Technician – Chemical Utilities, where you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical utility systems supporting production activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to contribute to operational excellence, infrastructure projects, and continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulated industrial environment.


Your responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair utility systems, including process gas, ultrapure water, chemical supply, wastewater treatment, and cooling water systems

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective and continuous improvement measures

  • Execute and document maintenance activities and manage spare parts through the maintenance management system

  • Support the operation and upkeep of site-wide infrastructure across multiple technical disciplines

  • Coordinate logistics activities related to the procurement, handling, replacement, and disposal of chemicals and gases

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operational specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Operate building management systems, fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, and other safety-critical equipment

  • Support infrastructure projects, commissioning activities, and KPI reporting related to maintenance, costs, projects, and budgets

  • Ensuring uninterrupted production operations around the clock (24/7) as well as the willingness to perform on-call duty


Your background

  • Completed technical apprenticeship or vocational training, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Facility Management, or a related field

  • Experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial utility or infrastructure systems

  • Knowledge of process engineering and industrial plant operations

  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems

  • Experience working with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and relevant regulatory requirement

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on mindset.

  • Reliable team player with a structured work approach, high safety awareness, and strong communication skills
