FACILITY TECHNICIAN, HEALTHCARE ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
Job Description:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all systems are operating effectively.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment or systems to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and record readings from various utility meters (e.g., electricity, water, gas) and report any discrepancies or unusual consumption patterns.
- Respond to service requests and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as required, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with contractors and external vendors to oversee maintenance, repairs, or installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs for equipment and building systems to extend the lifecycle of assets and reduce repair costs.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health regulations and that all work is performed safely and in accordance with company protocols.
- Support energy conservation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve building efficiency and reduce utility consumption.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts required for maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure that all maintenance records, work orders, and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Participate in regular training and development programs to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors, including assisting in emergency repairs or participating in special projects.
Requirements:
Education:
- Certificate or Diploma in Facility Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Knowledge and Experiences:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a similar technical role.
- Familiar with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health regulations and building codes.
