Factory Manager

The Factory Manager holds full P&L responsibility for overall plant performance, with direct authority over:

  • Production

  • PPIC

  • Quality Assurance

  • Maintenance

  • Warehouse & Dispatch

  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance

This position reports to senior operations leadership and collaborates closely with Sales Operations, Procurement, and R&D to ensure operational alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure production meets on-time SLA commitments in line with sales forecasts.

  • Achieve full and timely order fulfillment (OTIF).

  • Stabilize daily operations and maximize throughput efficiency.

  • Identify and remove bottlenecks, downtime, and operational inefficiencies.

  • Take full ownership of production plan execution, beyond scheduling oversight.

Cost Management & Productivity

  • Deliver continuous improvement in key cost drivers, including:

    • Cost per unit

    • Scrap and rework reduction

    • Labor efficiency and overtime control

  • Manage and minimize aging inventory.

  • Translate operational KPIs into structured daily performance controls.

  • Foster a performance culture grounded in data, accountability, and measurable results.

Quality Accountability

  • Maintain end-to-end responsibility for product quality leaving the facility.

  • Implement disciplined root-cause analysis to address systemic issues rather than reactive problem-solving.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Technical teams to enhance systems and support new product introductions.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead a multi-tier team consisting of Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators.

  • Strengthen middle management capability and leadership effectiveness.

  • Establish clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations.

  • Build a scalable factory culture driven by structured systems rather than individual dependency.

  • Transition the organization from person-dependent operations to role-based accountability.

  • Prepare workforce capability and structure to support future factory and production expansion.

Continuous Improvement & Scalability

  • Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare operations for automation, digital integration, and future growth.

  • Enhance SOP maturity, plant layout optimization, and workflow efficiency to support scalability.



Requirements

The Ideal Profile – (see attached ICP for more detailed info)
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering / Industrial / Mechanical or equivalent)10+ years in manufacturing operations
5+ years leading a factory or large production operation
Background in made-to-order production preferred.
Proven track record of:
o Turning around underperforming operations or
o Scaling factories under growth pressure
Strong command of numbers, processes, and people—not just technical know-how
Hands on approach and willingness to go down to the fields and get hands dirty with
details.
