Factory Manager
About the Role
The Factory Manager oversees the complete daily operations of a mayonnaise and sauces manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production in line with international food-safety standards. The role covers production, people management, quality, maintenance, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
Lead end-to-end factory operations: raw material reception, storage, mixing, homogenization, filling, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure production plans (daily/weekly/monthly) are met in volume, timing, and quality.
Troubleshoot batching and emulsion issues, improving product stability, texture, and consistency.
Quality & Food Safety
Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC systems.
Work with Food Technologist and QC to control pH, viscosity, stability, and process parameters.
Conduct root-cause analysis for quality deviations and customer complaints.
Maintenance Management
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for mixers, homogenizers, filling lines, compressors, and utilities.
Ensure equipment uptime, reliability, and adherence to maintenance schedules.
Cost, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Reduce waste, improve yields, monitor OEE, and optimize operational cost structure.
Support CAPEX projects, including new machinery, expansions, and automation upgrades.
People Leadership
Manage staffing: scheduling, training, performance management, discipline, and recruitment.
Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Ensure facility hygiene, sanitation, cleaning schedules, and full GMP compliance.
Maintain safety standards and support audits and certifications.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare production reports, cost analyses, efficiency metrics, and operational KPIs for senior management
Requirements
7–10 years’ experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Strong background in sauces, mayonnaise, dressings, condiments, or emulsified products.
Solid knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and food-safety regulations.
Proven experience leading factory-floor teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Languages: Arabic (required), English (good level required).
