The Factory Manager is responsible for the establishment, development, and efficient management of TRT Manufacturing’s Benin site. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management to ensure the successful execution of production activities, capability building, and the embedding of a high-performing culture.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, adhering to safety and quality standards, and ensuring financial and performance targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Setup and Management
• Lead all aspects of site establishment, including infrastructure setup, equipment installation, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement operational processes aligned with TRT Manufacturing’s standards.
• Ensure the timely and cost-effective commissioning of the manufacturing site.

Leadership and Capability Building
• Recruit, onboard, and develop a capable, diverse workforce to support manufacturing operations.
• Implement training programs to build skills and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the local team, ensuring alignment with TRT’s values and objectives. Operations Management Responsibilities: • Ensure adherence to operational plans and production targets.
• Implement corrective actions for production challenges.

Factory Performance & CPU
• Deliver production plans at the right cost per unit (CPU) and exceed client requirements.
• Manage daily production schedules, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality & Compliance
• Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a safety-first culture with 100% compliance with health and safety protocols.

Maintenance Management
• Ensure equipment reliability through effective maintenance schedules.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and improve asset utilization.
• Minimize unplanned downtime and reduce maintenance costs.

Warehouse Management
• Manage inventory accuracy and GMP housekeeping standards.
• Implement efficient inventory control systems to support production needs.

Financial and Performance Accountability:
• Develop and manage site budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Monitor and control production costs, assist in new product costing models, and analyze budgets to identify and rectify waste.

Strategic Planning
• Develop and execute operational strategies to improve plant processes and achieve company goals.
• Foster continuous improvement across all departments.

Risk and Compliance
• Implement a risk management framework to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with local authorities, suppliers, clients, and community stakeholders to build and sustain positive relationships.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Work closely with team members, to ensure effective communication across diverse teams.

Requirements

• Expertise in production planning, quality control, and Lean Manufacturing.
