About Position

Track | Full Stack and Applied Analytics

Node.js • Django • RDBMS • Advanced Analytics • Makers Lab

There is a specific kind of satisfaction that comes from pressing Deploy and watching something you built go live, knowing real people are using it. We want every student who graduates from this track to know that feeling. We need a faculty who already lives by it.

You will join Rishihood University as a Faculty for the track where students learn to ship. Full Stack Web Development and Applied Analytics is where engineering becomes visible: students build products, deploy them, connect them to databases, and use analytical tools to understand how real users interact with what they built. The heart of this track is the Makers Lab, a sprint-based project environment where students build real products and ship. As Track Lead, you will own this initiative and shape the deployment culture of the entire programme.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Node.js, Django, RDBMS, and Advanced Excel with a consistent emphasis on production quality, not just working code
  
• Design and run Makers Lab sprint cycles: FinTech dashboards, Health Tech portals, analytics tools with real users
  
• Assess students on what they shipped and how it holds up, not what they submitted
  
• Coach students on web security (OWASP Top 10), data privacy, and accessibility as professional standards
  
• Drive the full deployment lifecycle including CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting, and containerisation with Docker
  

Job Specifications

· You should hold an MTech, PhD, or equivalent in a relevant field. Beyond the degree, here is what we care about.

Technical Depth

· Expert knowledge of Node.js (Express) and Django; strong RDBMS skills (PostgreSQL or MySQL, SQL optimisation, schema design) and mastery of asynchronous JavaScript and ES6+

· Advanced Excel fluency: Power Query, Pivot Tables, macro enabled dashboards; expertise in RESTful API design and real deployment experience with CI/CD and cloud hosting

The Person

· A shipping culture mindset: you measure success by what gets deployed and used; pragmatic architectural thinking with the ability to explain the right tool for the right context

· Entrepreneurial spirit: you inspire students to see their Makers Lab projects as potential products, not just assignments

Good to Have

· A portfolio of live deployed web applications; prior experience in a startup, makerspace, or incubation lab environment

· UI/UX fluency with Figma or Adobe XD; open-source contributions to web frameworks or analytics libraries
