Location: Walnut Creek, California. This is an office-based opportunity where you can collaborate closely with an experienced family law team while serving clients throughout the Bay Area.

Note: Candidates must be active members of the California Bar, have 3+ years of experience practicing as an attorney, and have at least 1 year of California family law experience.

Job Description

  • Manage California family law matters from initial strategy through resolution.
  • Handle divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, and related domestic matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and other legal filings.
  • Prepare for and participate in court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and litigation.
  • Counsel clients with clarity, professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Develop case strategies and collaborate with attorneys, support staff, and outside financial or other professionals when matters require specialized expertise.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership.
  • 3+ years of attorney experience.
  • 1+ year of California family law experience.
  • Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, and complex case details.
  • Experience with contested divorce, custody, support, or complex financial matters is preferred.
