Family Practice Physician
Story County Medical Center is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. You’ll join a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality care in a community-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including wellness exams and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling
- Perform employment, pre-operative, well-child, and annual physicals
- Participate in minimal rotational inpatient and skilled care call
- Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Mandatory Reporter certifications
Preferred:
- Previous experience in family medicine or primary care
