Farm Business Manager

Part-Time, 20 hrs per week

Varied Shifts

Could include weekends/holidays

Position is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and is under the direction of the Assistant County Administrator, responsible for overseeing the operations of the Farm. Prepares and manages the farm budget and provides long range strategic planning, performs a variety of farm related work, including, but not limited to, milking and feeding cows, care of pigs and planting and harvesting crops, ability to effectively supervise staff as well as sentenced inmates from the Department of Corrections who perform work on the farm while incarcerated, skilled in the operation and maintenance of all types of farm equipment.

Duties require knowledge of farm work and management equivalent to completion of an Associate’s Degree in a related field and over five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess extensive leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
