Farming Area Manager - Thule
Lead the operation. Set the standard. Deliver the crop.
Kagome Australia is seeking a Farming Manager to lead our Thule farming zone — overseeing multiple farms, a diverse workforce, and large-scale production of carrot, garlic and tomato crops.
This is a genuine leadership role, suited to someone who has already proven they can manage people, resources, and outcomes across complex farming operations. You will be accountable for performance across your area — from safety and quality through to yield, cost control, and delivery timelines.
Based in Thule NSW (nr Barham/Koondrook), you’ll take ownership of operational management across the zone, working closely with senior leadership while leading Farm Managers, Supervisors, permanent staff, casual crews, and contractors.
What success looks like in this role
Your role is to lead the zone, ensure discipline in execution, and create consistency across farms:
- Delivering crops on time, on budget, and to required quality standards
- Ensuring all farming activities align with the annual farming plan across your area of responsibility
- Leading, developing, and holding accountable Farm Supervisors, and operational teams
- Driving a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and Kagome standards
- Meeting and exceeding KPIs through effective planning, forecasting, cost control, and people leadership
- Improving and standardising efficiency across labour, machinery, irrigation, and inputs
- Implementing and maintaining quality control systems across all operations
- Ensuring environmental obligations and compliance requirements are consistently met
- Managing projects as required, from infrastructure improvements through to operational initiatives
- Working closely with senior management to provide clear reporting, insight, and operational feedback
You will be expected to balance commercial discipline with practical understanding — making decisions that work on paper and in the paddock.

You’ll be someone who:
- Sets clear expectations and follows through
- Leads with consistency, fairness, and accountability
