Summary

Designs activewear and sportswear using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, creates technical sketches, selects fabrics, and collaborates with production teams to bring products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Design activewear, sportswear, and performance apparel in line with Bodynits brand identity and market trends.
  • Develop seasonal design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, fabric direction, and product stories.
  • Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and design packs for sampling and production.
  • Work closely with merchandising, product development, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with timelines.
  • Source and select suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories with performance attributes (moisture-wicking, stretch, sustainability, etc.).
  • Review samples, conduct fittings, and refine designs to achieve target quality and fit.
  • Monitor upcoming market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to propose innovative design ideas.
  • Ensure all designs meet Bodynits’ standards in functionality, comfort, sustainability, and cost.
  • Support client presentations and collaborate on private-label or custom design projects where required.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation, data entry, and updates for internal systems.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or related field.
  • 2–5 years experience in activewear / sportswear / lingerie / athleisure design preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and garment design software.
  • Understanding of technical fabrics, performance materials, and garment construction.
