Job Description\:

Working at the heart of an innovative and highly secure programme, this role plays a key part in supporting the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) environment and helping to protect critical people, information, technology and facilities across BAE Systems. You will contribute to the smooth and secure operation of a specialist facility, working with a range of stakeholders while ensuring security processes, access management and visitor coordination are delivered to the highest standards.

This is an for you to develop experience in security operations within an advanced aerospace and defence environment. You'll gain exposure to advanced programmes, regulated security practices and collaborative ways of working, while building valuable experience in facility administration, physical security and compliance. Your contribution will help safeguard important projects and enable teams to deliver innovative solutions that support the future of defence and national security.

Core duties\:

  • Oversee physical and personnel access to secure FCAS facilities, ensuring compliance with government, customer and company security requirements
  • Coordinate, track and maintain classified materials and hardware, keeping accurate records for receipt, transfer, loan and disposal activities
  • Deliver security briefings and guidance to employees, visitors and contractors, promoting awareness and adherence to security policies
  • Coordinate visitor, contractor and maintenance access, providing escorts and ensuring secure, efficient facility operations
  • Support security compliance activities, maintain access control processes and records, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen security practices

Essential Skills\:

  • Previous experience working within a security, facilities, administration or compliance-focused environment with defined procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of access control, record organisation and handling sensitive or classified information
  • Effective communication skills, with experience providing guidance, briefings and support to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstratable ability to follow established policies, make sound judgments and escalate issues appropriately
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with experience working collaboratively to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness
