FCC Compliance Analyst
The FCC Compliance Analyst is detail-oriented and highly analytical. This role is responsible for conducting due diligence investigations on high-risk clients and entities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, Bank Secrecy Act Laws, internal policies, and industry best practices. This position plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and reputational risks to the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Performs enhanced due diligence reviews for high-risk customers including politically exposed persons (PEPs), high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), legal entities and clients from high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Analyzes and evaluates customer profiles, source of wealth/funds, corporate structures, and transaction activity to identify potential AML risks.
  • Gathers, reviews and analyzes customer documentation from internal systems, open-source intelligence, adverse media, and other data sources to develop comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Drafts comprehensive EDD reports with clear risk assessments and recommendations for onboarding, periodic review, or escalation.
  • Reviews transaction activity for anomalies or patterns indicative of suspicious behavior.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including operations, and front Office teams, to resolve issues and communicate findings.
  • Escalates unusual or potentially suspicious activity and support SAR/STR filing processes where applicable.
  • Stays up-to-date on emerging financial crime trends, regulatory developments, and typologies relevant to EDD and AML._x000d_ Assist in the development and refinement of EDD policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in AML, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Financial Crime Compliance, or a related risk management function.
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence requirements.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to assess customer risk, review complex documentation, and identify potential suspicious activity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in AML, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Financial Crime Compliance, or a related risk management function.
  • Professional certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or other relevant financial crime compliance designation.
