FCC Compliance Manager
The Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Compliance Manager manages the planning and operational execution of compliance programs in order to ensure organizational functions are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies and to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices within the organization. The job supervises entry or experienced level professionals who are responsible for identifying, investigating and reporting compliance risks. This position is responsible for overseeing activities such as suspicious activity detection, SAR filing, sanctions and watch list screening, Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), and program management responsibilities designed to ensure that the bank is operating in accordance with applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports team strategy for AML Operations to ensure alignment with business objectives and manages special projects to advance operational practices as needed.
  • Defines standards and practices for AML control and management to minimize risk exposure.
  • Identifies enhancements and technology opportunities relating to continuous monitoring of financial services data to identify and report specific transactions and patterns of transactions, which may present potential AML risk.
  • Contributes to the development of the strategy to aggregate, report, and interpret data and relevant AML metrics for senior leadership.
  • Assists in the development and execution of AML compliance training and communication plans and serves as subject matter expert on AML compliance policy and updates policy and programmatic elements as needed.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of AML regulations current money laundering schemes and investigative techniques required to detect illegal or unethical schemes.
  • Provides direction and manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback, as well as the formal performance review process, to ensure delivery of exceptional service, associate engagement, motivation, and development.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Financial Crimes Compliance, or a related regulatory compliance function.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing AML compliance activities, including suspicious activity investigations, SAR filings, sanctions screening, CTR reporting, and regulatory risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of AML/BSA compliance experience, including team leadership, program management, and development of AML controls, monitoring, and compliance strategies.
