First Databank (FDB) is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join the [Department] team. The Software Engineer role has a general foundation in a range of computer science topics, along with a passion and aptitude for continued learning in both technology and business.
The Software Engineer collaborates within a team responsible for developing, testing and supporting applications and product lines designed for the health care and business sectors. This involves engaging with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to achieve project objectives.
This position is based in our [Location] office and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work on-site at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and integrate application software.
- Create, use and promote development frameworks, tools, methodologies and procedures to reduce future coding efforts and increase functional consistency.
- Translate software requirements into fully functional software solutions.
- Apply knowledge of design patterns and practices. Implement logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of corporate and customer information system requirements.
- Provide insight into the latest application architectures, technologies, solutions and industry trends.
- Apply knowledge of software development life cycles and the activities that occur within them.
- Contribute to a development team using modern development languages, relational databases and NoSQL databases.
- Work with Product Owners and teams to drive features and specifications, architecture design, implementation and other software development responsibilities.
- Create and update technical documentation.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
- At least one year of software development experience.
- Basic experience in .NET application development using ASP.NET and C#, or basic experience in other languages such as Java, Ruby or Go.
- Experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL, preferred but not required.
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the health care industry is a plus.

The base salary range below represents the Company's good-faith estimate for this position in the posted work location at the time of posting.
