Fee Basis Physician (Cardiology) - Interventional
The Gainesville VA Medical Center is seeking a Fee Basis Interventional Cardiologist to provide after-hours on-call coverage for interventional cardiology emergencies during nights, weekends, and holidays. This time-limited, non-benefited position compensates only for performed procedures with the appointment subject to annual renewal based on mutual agreement and need.
This Fee Basis position provides no benefits and there is no compensation provided for being on call. Compensation is provided only for performance of procedures, when procedures are actually performed while on call. Rates of compensation for procedures performed can be provided upon request. This Fee Basis position is a time-limited position with the timeframe of the appointment concurrent with the calendar year. At the end of the calendar year, the position may be renewed upon mutual agreement of the candidate and the VA. However, renewal of the appointment is not guaranteed if the continuation of the appointment is no longer necessary or if Fee Basis services are no longer needed. Recruitment incentives are not available for this position. Benefits: No benefits provided.
