Feed Mill Manager

The Feed Mill Manager is responsible for producing and delivering quality feed at a competitive cost.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise a team of 12+ employees.
• Receive all ingredients properly, using correct testing methods/standards, and rejecting ingredients that do not meet Peco standards.
• Maintain accurate inventories of all ingredients and finished food.
• Manufacture feed properly, keeping feed separate through sequencing, use of proper bins, and proper load-out procedures.
• Have all employees and drivers participate in the company safety program.
• Supervise a delivery operation that maintains adequate farm inventories and utilizes service techs for final loads.
• Follow al FDA regulations.
• Ensure drivers follow hours of service rules and all other DOT regulations.
• Maintain the company facilities and fleet through proper preventative maintenance. Maintain cleanliness of grounds, mill, and fleet.
• Responsible for all animal welfare and biosecurity training and compliance in the feed mill department.
• Handle and ensure all employees handle various chemicals, vaccines and medications safely.
• Maintain adequate staffing.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable government agencies and regulations.

Physical Demands:

• Working in normal room environment, outside environment, and in cold, hot, humid and dusty conditions.
• Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.
• Physically able to climb a ladder at various heights.
