Summary

Operates and troubleshoots broadcast feeds (satellite, fiber, IP, streaming) to ensure live and recorded content is delivered correctly, while coordinating with production teams and external partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing broadcast feeds, including satellite, fiber, IP, and streaming sources.

 Guide remote contribution of guests and field talent, advising on device/camera placement, lighting acoustic environment camera framing, while managing connection stability and other production standards such as backgrounds.

 Flagg to producers any additional challenges with remote guests such as wardrobe, hats or any non-standard appearance concerns.

 Coordinate feed acquisition, recording, routing, and distribution to support live and recorded broadcasts.

 Operate broadcast routing, switching, and monitoring equipment to ensure content is delivered to the correct destinations.

 Verify feed quality, signal integrity, audio levels, and video performance before and during transmission.

 Troubleshoot routine feed and signal issues and coordinate with engineering staff to resolve technical problems.

 Maintain communication with master control, production, engineering, and external broadcasters regarding feed schedules and transmission requirements.

 Record and archive incoming feeds, live events, and programming content as required.

 Monitor multiple feed sources simultaneously and respond quickly to transmission interruptions or operational issues.

 Stays abreast of the latest/new technology

 Coordinates on-air telephone calls, Skype, Zooms, Bitfire, LTN Teradek, and other remotes

 Operates computers

 Completes tasks accurately and independently prior to deadline, in according with editorial and production priorities

 Functions as effective member of a team

 May serve as a team leader, assigning work and coaching team members and reporting to management on their performance

 Other related duties as assigned
