Fehrer Welding Cell Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift
Summary
Inspects welded automotive parts for defects, approves conforming products for shipment, and maintains quality standards in a manufacturing facility.
SUMMARY:
The Welding Cell Inspector checks the parts for conformance to customer standards. When defects are found, they are dispositioned by the guidelines defined in the work instructions. Conforming product is packed and labeled as specified by the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check parts for conformance to customer standards using gauge, and full visual inspection of welds, parts, placement etc. in accordance with quality standards.
- Rack/box and labeling of frames in designated packaging
- Enter all audit and inspection data
- Communicate quality issues to Production Supervisor and line lead in a timely manner.
- Identify nonconforming material.
- Approve material for shipment.
- Stage boxes and roll packs in designated locations
- Push product to designated area for pickup
- Fill out daily inspection sheets
- Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the welding cell function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAX (information security).
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Encourage safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.
