Female Senior Support Worker
#Be Part of Someone's Story!
We are excited to expand our team and invite passionate individuals to join us at Glassmoon Services!
Phoenix is a one-person service, supporting someone who enjoys cooking, baking, animals, reading and learning about space. This young person is also very creative.
We’re looking for someone curious, patient and creative themselves, someone who can bring ideas, encourage interests and take the time to really get to know the person they support.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and guide a team of colleagues to provide exceptional quality service to the People We Support.
- Deliver care that reflects best practices, legislative requirements, and our policies, procedures, and agreed standards to support Glassmoon Services' purpose.
- Actively engage with and support individuals to learn, maintain skills, pursue personal interests, and provide unique person-centred care that is tailored to each individual, in alignment with our person-led support delivery model.
- Play a vital role in updating and maintaining support plans to the required standard, while providing support and guidance to colleagues in completing their own.
- Act as the primary source of information from your team regarding any changes in the needs of the People We Support, promptly reporting these to the Registered Manager and Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- Collaborate closely with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for the People We Support.
- If desired by the Person We Support, nurture and develop relationships with their family, friends, and other significant individuals in their life.
- Exemplify leadership qualities by being a role model who inspires and supports all colleagues.
- Effectively supervises their team, ensuring that required standards are met in accordance with best practices, agreed policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Ensures that all team members receive regular one-on-one meetings, annual reviews, and additional support through the SPG&P (Supporting Personal Growth and Potential) processes
- Support and supervise colleagues to ensure that they fulfil their responsibilities to meet the needs of the People We Support.
- Always promote infection control and ensure the cleanliness of my service
Our aim is to provide all colleagues with the support to bring their best selves to work in an organisation that places equal value on their wellbeing. We want people to join, stay and progress with us as an organisation.
Therefore, we look at practical ways we can improve their working lives:
We are a real living wage employer and believe in paying everyone fairly, irrespective of age.
As part of our commitment to our Fair Pay, Pay Fair strategy, we pay our colleagues for accrued annual leave on overtime. This is not an industry standard, and we are pleased to be able to offer this to our Glassmoon Colleagues.
We commit to producing rotas 12 weeks in advance to support colleagues with their personal planning and work-life balance.
Glassmoon Services are proud to work with Skills for Care and The Department of Health and Social Care as an ‘Early Adopter’, of the Care Workforce Pathway. We have aligned our job roles with those of the NHS and other Health and Social Care employers. We have also created career paths, have career conversations and promote apprenticeships for our colleagues.
There is a requirement to work alternate weekends.
