Fertilizer Trader (Location: Saudi Arabia)

The Company:

It established its headquarters in Al-Midra Tower in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and have 5 other global offices in London, American, Singapore, Dubai and Fujairah. With six offices currently operating worldwide, Aramco Trading has broader access to markets, a wider client base, a more talented and diversified workforce, and a more sophisticated and integrated global business model.

Today, the company is recognized globally as a critical trading partner for refiners, shipping companies, financial institutions, end-users, and other product-trading companies. The company trades across the barrel including Crude, Middle distillates, Light distillates, bulk petrochemicals, and polyolefin.

The Function:

Responsible for physical and paper trading activities and operations within approved risk and resource limits; supports the execution of the trading desk’s strategy and its related tasks; accountable for the trades and the impact to the profit and loss of the book as well as managing the associated risks with the trades.

Key Accountabilities:

● Originate, negotiate, and execute physical fertilizertrades (urea, ammonia, MAP, DAP, potash) across global origin and destinationmarkets.

● Develop and maintain relationships with producers,buyers, freight providers, and financial counterparties to build a durablecommercial network.

● Structure term and spot deals, including offtakeagreements, structured trade finance opportunities, and FOB/CFR arrangements,optimizing margin and risk-adjusted returns.

● Monitor global fertilizer market fundamentals, freight markets, and geopolitical developments to identify trading opportunities andmanage exposure.

● Coordinate with Operations, Shipping, Risk, Credit, and Legal teams to ensure smooth execution, documentation, and settlement oftransactions.

● Ensure full compliance with sanctions regimes (OFAC,EU, UN) and internal trade compliance policies on all counterparties andcargoes.

● Prepare deal proposals, market analyses, andperformance reports for senior management and investment committees.

● Contribute to the development of the fertilizer tradingdesk's strategy and capabilities.


Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics,Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification isa plus.

● Minimum 8-10 years of experience in physical commodity trading, with a strong focus on fertilizers or related bulk commodities.

● Demonstrated track record of originating and executingprofitable physical trades, including cross-border and structured transactions.

● Solid understanding of shipping, logistics, letters of credit, and trade finance instruments.

● Strong knowledge of international trade compliance andsanctions frameworks.

● Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship-management skills.

● Willingness to travel internationally and to relocateto Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
