Job Summary
The Fiberglass Technician II performs intermediate-level tasks in the fabrication, repair, and finishing of fiberglass components. Building on foundational skills, this role involves complex fiberglass layup, detailed repair work, and quality inspections. The Fiberglass Technician II is expected to understand advanced techniques, maintain high safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the fiberglass production team.
Management Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions
· All job duties and functions as a Fiberglass Technician I
· Prepares molds with precision, ensuring proper cleaning, waxing, and detailing to achieve high-quality finishes
· Conduct minor repairs on molds as needed, identifying and reporting more significant issues to supervisor
· Perform complex layups and layering, including multi-layer laminations, custom layups, and advanced resin applications
· Operate laminating techniques as required by project specifications
· Execute detailed fiberglass repairs, including patching, sanding, and gel coating for high-quality finishes
· Ensure parts meet aesthetic and functional standards, performing final touches to maintain brand quality
· Conduct thorough inspection of fiberglass components for adherence to company quality standards
· Identify defects, imperfections, and areas for improvement, making corrections as necessary and documenting findings
· Follow all safety protocols and PPE use at all times, including proper handling and disposal of resin, solvents, and chemicals
· Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA and company policies
· Provide feedback on production methods and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, or quality
· Collaborate with the production team and cross departmentally to optimize workflows and contribute to lean manufacturing practices
