Field Engineer - Instrument

· Serve as the technical focal point for Instrument engineering at construction site.

· Resolve technical issues, by providing technical knowledge from documents, and coordinating with Vendor, other disciplines, Client, and Instrument Sub-Contractor, for properly proceeding the activities at site.

· Lead trouble shooting with identifying precise situations/symptoms

· Facilitate FS (Field change sheet) issuance to revise engineering drawings/documents, where required.

· Revise SPI and 3D model for As built as per project requirements, where required.

· Responsible for site instrument ITP/ITR issuance and setting-up of CMS (Construction Management System) and VM Completion (Name of Plant Hand-over System).

· Support coordination with instrument or mechanical sub-contractor in technical aspects.

· Review and approve instrument technical documents submitted by Instrument or mechanical Sub-contractor.

· Support PIC of Packaged equipment for Instrument portion.

· Take ownership for meeting project schedule/milestones.

· Facilitate RFM (Request for Material) issuance to proceed site purchase, where required.

· Assist in preparation of MER (Material Exception Report), and control / follow-up MER with Vendor with coordinating with Procurement team.

· Monitor and maintain master instrument drawings/documents

· Coordinate, Schedule and Plan OEM / Vendor specialist visits to site.

· Monitor and maintain instrument materials, with coordinating with MCS (Material Control Section) and Instrument construction team.

· Provide technical information for heavy instrument equipment lifting, removal of instruments during Piping hydrostatic test, special instruments installation and so on.

· Set-up preparation procedure of package for loop check and dry function test, with coordinating with Instrument pre-commissioning team.

· Provide min. requirements for instrument material preservation and monitor the conditions periodically.

· Set-up procedure for energizing equipment with Client, Instrument QC team.

· Provide clear information for Carry-over works from engineering/procurement phase, to Instrument construction team.

· Support training of sub-contractor, mock-up, and so on, with coordinating Instrument construction team.

· Plan and lead SAT (Site acceptance test), communication tests, calibration/validations, etc. for ICSS, Analyzer and so on. with coordinating with Client, the related disciplines

· Review and approve Vendor procedures and obtain Client approval.

· Coordinate with instrument construction/QC team and the related disciplines to start the activities timely and safely, and to set the proper rule (security access control of Instrument room and so on)

· Arrange temporary power supply, with coordinating construction, PMT, where required.

· Where construction work and equipment energization for the activity are in the same area/room (SIMOPS), to set-up the proper rule (soft barricades and so on) with coordinating HSE/construction/commissioning team.

· Control and coordinate with Vendor specialists.

· Take ownership for completing the activity within the project schedule.



Requirements

To have work experiences at construction site or deep knowledges of Instrument documents/drawings in one or more categories below

· Instrument construction design

· Various field instruments and instrument valves

· ICSS / MMS

· Analyzers

· Metering Systems

· Instrumentations for packaged equipment

· Strong understanding of project execution workflows and milestone tracking.

· Commitment to provide utmost efforts for achieving schedule/milestone

· Ability to motivate and align team efforts toward target achievement.

· Ability to identify situation/facts of troubles quickly and set the proper actions, including coordination with Vendor.

· Skilled in preparing and reviewing technical documentation and correspondence.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Skilled in engineering tools such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools), AutoCAD, and relevant 3D modeling platforms.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools.
