Field Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a Field Engineer to support the execution of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical projects within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments. The role will provide on-site technical support during equipment installation, testing, commissioning, validation, and project handover.
Job Scope
Provide technical support for pharmaceutical equipment, utility systems, and process installations at project sites.
Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Support IQ, OQ, and PQ activities and coordinate validation requirements where applicable.
Monitor site works to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety procedures, GMP requirements, and project quality expectations.
Troubleshoot technical issues during construction, installation, commissioning, and system handover.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives on site matters.
Prepare site reports, commissioning records, test results, punch lists, and technical documentation.
Support preventive maintenance, system optimisation, and corrective actions when required.
Track outstanding technical issues and ensure timely closure before project completion.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, process engineering, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
Familiarity with equipment installation, process systems, utilities, HVAC, piping, or electrical systems is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of GMP, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements is preferred.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and equipment documentation.
Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and site stakeholders.
Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.
