Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Field Engineer to lead the on-site installation, commissioning, and optimization of our AI Vision System. Key Responsibilities

  • System Deployment & On-Site Delivery: Execute end-to-end installation, camera/lighting calibration, and commissioning of our AI inspection equipment at client manufacturing facilities.

  • PLC & Hardware Integration: Seamlessly integrate and synchronize the inspection system with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), rejection mechanisms, and production line controllers.

  • Optical Setup & Data Optimization: Configure industrial cameras, lenses, and specialized lighting to capture high-quality image data required for training and running our AI inspection models.

  • Calibration & Model Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune inspection parameters within the software platform to maximize detection accuracy and minimize false positives on the factory floor.

  • Client Handover & Technical Support: Act as the technical lead during system handovers, delivering operational training and on-site troubleshooting for client engineers.

Requirement:
1. Language Proficiency

  • Japanese: JLPT N2 level or higher, OR

  • English: Business-level proficiency for client communication and project collaboration.

2. Technical & Field Experience

  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming/control and FA (Factory Automation) equipment.

  • Practical experience with industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, and vision equipment.

  • Proven field experience in equipment setup, troubleshooting, and commissioning in manufacturing environments.

3. General Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel or work on-site at client factory locations.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills on active production lines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or with Japanese companies or Japanese client-facing environments.

  • Experience with AI visual inspection, deep learning-based image processing, or machine vision software.

  • Educational or practical background in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

  • Experience coordinating with local vendors, factory staff, and engineering teams.
