We are looking for a Marketing Manager based in Japan with responsibility for lead generation, marketing events, communication campaigns, and database management.

The goal of the field marketing manager is to build both brand awareness and help generate leads which include those for new product introductions, launches into new markets/regions, or expanding into existing markets. You must be a self-starter, very well organized with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience and knowledge of B2B marketing for enterprise solutions is a must. Experience and knowledge in fashion, retail, food & beverage, and cosmetics (FMCG) industries are a plus.

This position reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager based in South Korea.

Responsibilities:

Planning and execution of marketing strategies for the Japanese Market. With a good understanding of the market for Japan, execute analysis of the potential industry segments for Centric solutions and set priorities for various marketing activities in alignment with global marketing strategy. The responsibilities of the Field Marketing Manager (Japan) include the following:

Lead generation, event, communication planning, and coordination

  • Develop lead gen plan from events to campaigns through offline & online channels and local media/associations.
  • Understand requirements for events, taking into consideration local cultures for both in-person and online company and 3rd party events.
  • Develop a promotion plan with qualified local media or 3rd party vendors/associations, including identifying targets with external agencies and our internal CRM, building lists in our marketing automation solution, and creating emails according to operational guidelines.
  • Events logistics: organize all logistical aspects including researching and booking venues, catering, arranging goodies, satisfaction questionnaires, sales collaterals & pop-up stands in the local languages. Manage local suppliers while respecting budgets and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the sales team, regional partners, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Oversee event execution and act quickly to resolve problems. Evaluate event success and prepare ROI reports
  • Manage event leads and opportunities data in Pardot and Salesforce.

PR and Communication

  • Work with sales and content team to create customer PRs.
  • Inbound campaigns: Build scenarios in the marketing automation tool to nurture leads
  • Outbound: quarterly newsletters, communication campaigns on SNS and email, holiday cards, etc.
  • Work with internal and external content teams to develop the right content for each country/vertical/persona.


Database management

  • Find local vendors to build up the database.
  • Upload contacts from vendors or events into Pardot and Salesforce.
  • Follow up on uncontacted leads with the regional sales team.

Social media marketing and others

  • Work with the content team to update SNS (LinkedIn) posts.
  • Support on customer interviews.


Travel approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements:

  • ‪5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing.
  • Strong event management and lead generation experience
  • ‪Business School degree or equivalent in Marketing
  • Salesforce/CRM, and Google tools notions are a plus.
  • Strategic thinking, well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm
  • Autonomous & thorough
  • Understanding of responsibility and accountability
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Good communication and collaboration skills (ability to negotiate)
  • Native Japanese speaker with good English to communicate with international teams.
