Field Marketing Manager
Description
ROLE: Field Marketing Manager, EMEA | Semiconductors
Location: Anywhere in EMEA, with around 30% travel
My client is a fast-growing semiconductor company whose technology is replacing an older, established approach across hundreds of applications, from AI datacentres and automated driving to industrial robotics, wearables and IoT. They’ve shipped billions of devices and are now building out their presence in EMEA.
This is their first dedicated field marketing hire in the region, which means you won’t be inheriting someone else’s playbook. You’ll be writing it. You’ll take global campaigns and product launches and turn them into programmes that actually work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and you’ll be the person corporate marketing listens to when it comes to what the region needs.
You’ll report to the Director of Growth Marketing (based in the US) and work hand in hand with EMEA sales leadership.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and running the regional marketing plan, with a clear focus on generating qualified pipeline for the sales team
- Adapting global campaigns and messaging so they land properly in each market, rather than just translating them
- Owning regional events from start to finish, including trade shows, seminars, webinars and customer roundtables, all the way through to lead follow-up
- Working with distribution and rep partners on enablement, co-marketing, MDF planning and joint demand generation
- Setting up a regular operating rhythm with sales, covering account targeting, pipeline objectives, lead follow-up and reviews
- Managing the regional budget and reporting on spend, pipeline contribution and return by country, programme and account
- Feeding local market intelligence back into corporate marketing so investment decisions reflect what’s happening on the ground
What you’ll bring
- Around 7+ years in field, regional or channel marketing in semiconductors, electronic components or high-tech, with direct EMEA responsibility
- A track record of building regional plans that delivered pipeline against a named sales territory
- A good understanding of how buying behaviour, design activity and business culture differ across Germany, the UK, France, the Nordics, Italy, Israel and emerging markets in the region
- Experience marketing through distribution and reps such as Arrow, Avnet/EBV, Future, Mouser, Digi-Key and Farnell
- Hands-on ability with marketing automation, CRM and BI tools, enough to build your own campaign flows and reporting without waiting on anyone
- Working knowledge of GDPR as it applies to events, lead handling and email
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or similar
- Business-level English
Nice to have
- German, French or another regional language
- A technical or engineering background
- A view on the EMEA electronics event calendar (embedded world, electronica and the key vertical conferences) and where the money is best spent
- Knowledge of the region’s main end markets, particularly automotive, industrial, aerospace and defence, telecoms infrastructure and datacentre, and how design-win cycles vary between them
- Experience using AI tools to speed up localisation, content and reporting
You don’t need to meet every requirement to be considered. If you have most of it and the role appeals, get in touch.
Who’ll enjoy this
Someone who likes building things from nothing and is comfortable setting priorities without a template to follow. Sales teams and partners tend to trust you quickly, and you’re happy to speak up for what the region needs, even when the people you’re asking are several time zones away.
What’s on offer
- A competitive base salary
- Quarterly bonus
- Equity, so you share in the company’s growth
- The chance to shape marketing across an entire region as the first person in the seat
