Overview
Field Implementation
- Facilitate teacher training
sessions using the KiDS manual in assigned schools.
- Support trained teachers in
conducting diabetes awareness sessions with students.
- Organise and facilitate
parent-teacher meetings in project schools.
- Map the communities linked to each
project school and conduct community awareness meetings.
- Identify and support diabetes
ambassadors within communities who can sustain awareness efforts beyond the
project period.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document all field activities
systematically and compile data for submission to the District Coordinator /
Programme Manager.
- Provide field data and inputs for
programme reports in coordination with the M&E Officer.
- Maintain complete records of
referrals to health facilities, forms, and related documentation.
Travel
- The role requires approximately 20
days of field travel per month. Travel and logistics support will be provided
under the project.

HIV and other infectious diseases.YRGMERF, in partnership with Sanofi, is implementing the KiDS (Kids and
Diabetes in Schools) programme among government school students aged 10–15
years in Uttar Pradesh. The programme builds diabetes awareness and prevention
literacy through teacher training, student engagement, community outreach, and
social media. The internationally validated KiDS manual, adapted into the local
language, is used as the core training resource, with qualified
endocrinologists serving as master trainers.
The first two phases of the programme, launched in 2024, have yielded
documented outcomes. The current phase involves expansion to 17 districts
across UP, including aspirational districts and those requiring refresher
training.
Qualifications &
Skills
- Post-graduation in Home Science,
Nutrition, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in
development, health, education, or nutrition programmes at the district level.
- Working knowledge of the education
department system in UP is required.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for data
entry and reporting.
- Strong written and oral
communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Self-motivated, with the ability
to work independently in field settings with minimal supervision.
