Position Summary

The Field Sales Representative owns and delivers sales for their assigned territory by developing relationships with store managers and other retail personnel to achieve directed sales and long-term performance objectives. This role focuses on delivering the overall value of retail (VOR) through sales, displays, new items, and core distribution.

Activities center on coverage of Nestlé items, including addressing issues related to out-of-stocks, inventory to shelf, share of shelf, price compliance, and promotional selling.

The position covers the Dallas, TX territory and the ideal candidate should live within 50 miles of Dallas, TX.

This role is responsible for Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages and Ready-to-Drink products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with distributors, collaborate, and ensure product knowledge through in-person and phone communication.
  • Sell incremental volume for displays and maximize support for promoted products.
  • Sell promotional surveys for displays.
  • Sell additional products based on observed opportunities.
  • Collaborate with targeted store-level and district-level retail operations personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume.
  • Manage expenditures of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines at the retail level.
  • Report competitive pricing changes and promotional support and resolve competitive pricing issues.
  • Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available.
  • Merchandise products to obtain schematic compliance, stock shelves, rotate products, handle unsaleable products, and resolve systematic out-of-stock and void issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with department and store-level personnel within the territory to maximize sales results.
  • Communicate market insights from the retail level to management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of retail sales, merchandising, or retail management experience with CPG products preferred (not required).
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other POS systems.
  • Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions, and/or other data to utilize appropriate selling techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Salary: $52,416.00 to $80,918.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
