Field Sampling Technician

Ugene Lab is the premier food testing laboratory. We provide customers with a broad range of microbiological and chemical testing, rapid testing, hygiene monitoring and specialized test methods developed to meet customer needs.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Sampling Technician to conduct on-site sample collection activities at client premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, handling, documenting, and transporting samples in accordance with laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Visit client sites to perform sampling.

· Collect samples such as food, water, surface swabs, or other materials according to approved procedures.

· Ensure proper sample labelling, preservation, storage, and transportation.

· Complete field documentation, chain-of-custody forms, and sampling records accurately.

· Coordinate sampling schedules within the team.

· Support laboratory activities when required.

Requirements

· Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.

· Must have valid Class 3 and/or 2A driving licence.

· Able to work independently and travel to client premises.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, Mandarin skills will be advantageous for the purposes of communication with clients.

· Presentable and physically fit.

· Able to work 5.5 days per week.
