Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

Weare looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) who will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of customers’ equipment. This role involves establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with customers and peers, performing required administrative duties, and handling other tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, set up, test, qualify, and commission semiconductor photonics and precision automation equipment at customer sites.
• Perform equipment installation and acceptance activities, including Site Acceptance Test (SAT), system verification, calibration, and performance validation.
• Perform equipment calibration and measurement using precision test instruments.
• Conduct systematic root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support customers in resolving equipment and process-related issues affecting yield, quality, accuracy, repeatability, and equipment uptime.
• Work closely with customer process and equipment engineers to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical training to customers and internal staff on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic photonics principles.
• Prepare accurate and timely service reports, maintenance records, calibration reports, troubleshooting reports, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with laser safety, electrical safety, cleanroom requirements, EHS standards, and company/customer procedures during all service activities.
• Perform other technical and field-service duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline.
• Relevant hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment, photonics systems, precision automation or related high-tech equipment.
• Good understanding of fundamental photonics and optical principles
• Hands-on experience with laser systems and optical alignment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of precision motion control, servo motors, stages, encoders, sensors, PLCs, and industrial automation systems is an advantage.
• Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes will be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the region and internationally for equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, and customer support.
