Field Service Engineer

Summary

Bühler Group is looking for a passionate Field Service Engineer to support our Customer Service business across Egypt. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality field service activities, supporting customers with technical expertise, and ensuring the reliable operation and performance of Bühler milling equipment while contributing to long-term customer satisfaction and business growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform retrofit activities, machine repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization on flour milling and grain processing equipment.
• Service and maintain milling equipment including roller mills, plansifters, purifiers, bran finishers, impact detachers, scourers, separators, aspiration systems, sifters, conveyors and elevators.
• Carry out mechanical adjustments, alignment, calibration, wear part replacement and functional checks.
• Diagnose machine faults, process issues and operational inefficiencies.
• Prepare service reports, inspection reports and spare parts recommendations.
• Provide technical assistance, operator training and after-sales support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customer maintenance teams during installation and commissioning.
• Support installation, commissioning, modernization and retrofit projects.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional technical support.
• Identify after-sales opportunities including spare parts, upgrades and service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with Bühler safety standards and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Higher technical education with Customer Service training is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within Egypt.
• Experience in pasta plants or grain processing industry.
