Field Based – 60-70% Travel, Primarily Travel within East Coast, Occasional travel within US and Internationally.

Position Overview:

Field Service Engineers act as a liaison between our laboratory instrumentation, automation systems and their implementation in laboratory environments. They travel the world to customer sites while supporting innovative laboratory technologies and automation solutions, their responsibilities include offering customer support, conducting instrument installations, performing maintenance tasks, and providing instrument training. This individual will utilize their professional skills working within a multi-disciplinary service team. This person will work in the field providing excellent, quality service support to both existing and new customers in designated territories. Duties will require availability for an average of 60%-70% travel time to customer sites. The position is home office based.

  • Experience working in the Life Science, Biotech, Medtech, Pharma or Diagnostics
  • 2-4 years of Field Service work
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation.
  • Current US Passport and be available for international travel as

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of service actions, installations, problem diagnosis, repair and preventive
  • Serves as customer facing technical resource and works to provide effective end user support and issue resolution.
  • Provide training, technical service and support after product installation at customer
  • Support customers during the installation/operational qualification of laboratory instrumentation, automation systems and related technologies, as
  • Troubleshooting technical issues both remotely and at customer
  • Perform annual and semi-annual instrument preventive
  • Communicate with customers to determine needs and explain complex
  • Collects detailed information, performs thorough analysis, and relies on experience and judgment to determine the most effective method of resolution.
  • Provide training for new employees and assist with onboarding of new technical
  • Mentor and support field team members during joint site visits or field
  • haring knowledge obtained from unique field experiences or specialized training with the


support team.
