Field Service Engineer - Instrument / Gas

Job Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of gas detection and instrumentation equipment.
• Conduct routine inspection, testing and calibration of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Attend to customer breakdowns and service requests.
• Carry out on-site testing to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Prepare service reports and document work completed.
• Liaise with customers on technical issues, service schedules and equipment status.
• Coordinate with internal teams on spare parts and service arrangements.
• Provide technical support to junior technicians when required.
• Follow company safety procedures and workplace safety requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation, field service or maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation and testing equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, process or industrial environments is preferred.
• Marine or offshore experience will be an advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and travel to customer sites.
