Field Service Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning of front-end automated semiconductor equipment in a fab environment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Diagnose equipment faults systematically and implement effective corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, stability, and uptime.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including spare parts and tools management.
- Conduct training for customers’ engineers and technicians on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
- Provide technical support and on-site assistance to customers as required.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and represent the company on-site.
- Work in accordance with fab safety procedures, cleanroom protocols, and operational requirements.
- Able to lift and handle equipment and parts.
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred; candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate good initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address equipment issues effectively.
- Knowledge of or exposure to semiconductor manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment in accordance with site safety and operational requirements.
- Willing to travel overseas, including South Asia, for work support and training, as required.
- Willing to support operational requirements, including standby, overtime, weekends, public holidays, or shift work when necessary.
