Job Purpose

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing after-sales technical support, maintenance, and repair services for medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role also involves software installation, system integration, and basic IT troubleshooting to support product connectivity and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test and commission medical equipment at customer locations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and calibration to ensure equipment operates reliably.

  • Provide prompt technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software-related issues both remotely and onsite.

  • Prepare service reports, repair quotations, maintenance documentation and warranty records.

  • Maintain accurate service records and update work activities in the maintenance management system.

  • Recommend suitable repair solutions and preventive maintenance services based on customers' needs.

  • Support product demonstrations, user training and technical guidance when required.

  • Assist in exhibitions, product showcases and other company events.

  • Coordinate service activities efficiently while travelling to customer sites across Singapore.

  • Participate in the weekend standby roster to provide emergency technical support when required. A standby allowance will be provided in accordance with the company's policy.

  • Follow company safety standards and deliver professional customer service at all times.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Experience in field service, technical support, equipment maintenance or a similar engineering role is an advantage.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

  • Basic knowledge of software installation, networking or IT troubleshooting is beneficial.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.

  • Willing to participate in weekend standby duties.

  • Possess a valid Manual Class 3 driving licence.
