Field Service Engineer
Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for the installation, servicing and maintenance of Rigaku X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) systems in Singapore, with occasional onsite support across Southeast Asia. The FSE is expected to provide prompt and competent technical support, meet applicable Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets, and contribute to a high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out service assignments and other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
· Install, service, troubleshoot and maintain Rigaku X-ray equipment, and provide customer training as required.
· Complete work reports and weekly timesheets accurately and professionally.
· Provide hotline technical support to customers and business partners as required.
· Meet applicable productivity and billable-hour targets.
· Comply with applicable radiation safety requirements, regulatory requirements and Company procedures when installing, servicing and maintaining X-ray equipment.
· Participate in overseas technical and product training and develop the required technical competencies for the role.
· Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required according to evolving business and customer needs
Requirements
· Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline.
· Experience with X-ray equipment is preferred. Candidates with relevant engineering projects or practical technical experience gained during their studies may also be considered.
· Strong spoken and written English.
· Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
· Willingness to travel for business, which may account for up to approximately 20% of working time.
