Field Service Representative

Dark Wolf is seeking a Field Service Representative to support the United States Air Force in its goal of developing an interoperable system of system in a cloud-based command and control (CBC2) environment. The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) CBC2 goals include achieving alignment with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains. This next generation system shall employ the latest advancements across the technology spectrum to include AI/ML and distributed architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large, complex system of systems design, development and integration projects. This role will require expertise in software (SW) design, development, configuration management, architecture, and large distributed (networked) compute platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
  • Coordinating, directing and performing complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Scheduling installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Continually monitoring and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensureing workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Ensureing data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Planning and implements the modernization of servers.
  • Developing, implementing and promoteing standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Conducting hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing new standards, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and 9+ years of experience, Master's and 7+. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+, ect).
  • US Citizenship required. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
  • Experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (e.g. VMware or HyperVisor).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory networks and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Distributed File System, etc.).
  • Experience working with file and data permissions on network-hosted file shares and storage (i.e. NetApp, New Technology File System (NTFS), etc.).
