Field Service Technician (Material Handling) - $2000 Signing Bonus

Essential Job Functions:
- Driving and Transportation: Maintain a good driving record to travel to customer locations for forklift and material handling equipment repairs.
- Communication Skills:
- Verbal: Effectively communicate with internal and external customers regarding service details, issues, and resolutions.
- Written: Prepare clear and accurate documentation for customers, dispatchers, peers, and supervisors.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of internal combustion engines.
- Read and interpret wiring/schematic diagrams and service manuals.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform repairs and periodic maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Assess repair situations, considering your skill level, safety, and the need for additional help.
- Tools and Equipment: Use a multimeter and laptop computer effectively; possess your own tools.
- Education and Training: Engage in ongoing education provided by Arnold Machinery and vendors to stay updated with industry standards.
- Punctuality and Core Values: Arrive at work as scheduled and adhere to Arnold Machinery’s core values: Integrity, Discipline, Empathy.
- Customer Service: Thank customers for their business and inquire about their satisfaction with the service received.
Non-essential Job Functions:
- Assist the Service Manager with various tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean workspace and/or truck.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Mobility: Walk and move about on foot often through uneven terrain.
- Lifting: Frequently lift items over 50 lbs.
- Manual Dexterity: Operate equipment, hand and power tools, and handle miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
- Posture: Bend body downward and forward, climb in and out of equipment, and remain standing for certain tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Read work tickets, parts and service books, and operate heavy equipment.
- Communication: Use radio, phone, and in-person communication effectively.
- Hearing: Discern mechanical problems and communicate effectively in various environments.
- Positioning: Sit in equipment and vehicles, and lie in a prone position under vehicles and equipment when necessary.
