Field Service Technician
Summary
On-site technician installs, repairs, and maintains industrial equipment at client locations, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues while mentoring junior staff.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, performs client-site servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of product field support, including system hardware and software, and systems networking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Equipment Maintenance: Installing, servicing, and repairing systems and components at customer sites.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing complex mechanical, hardware, and software failures down to the component level.
Customer Support: Serving as the technical contact for client issues and escalating design problems to engineering.
Mentorship & Leadership: Training and guiding Level I–III technicians and field engineers.
Documentation & Safety: Tracking maintenance, reporting downtime, ordering parts, and following safety policies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.
The ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
AS Associate of Science degree in Electronics or completion of accredited basic electronics program or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Three (3) to Six (6) years of work-related experience, in mechanical, electrical and customer support.
Working knowledge of principles of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology is preferred.
