Field Service Technician
Summary
A hands-on field technician who installs, maintains, and repairs industrial air compressors and related equipment at customer sites in Indianapolis, using diagnostic tools and manuals to resolve technical issues and advise clients on system reliability.
The Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for start-up, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of industrial air compressors and compressed air equipment. The technician will travel to customer sites within the Indianapolis and surrounding areas to perform assigned duties.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/ reciprocating air compressors and various types of air dryers
- Perform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on air compressor systems equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting of factory standard controls. Provide equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance
- Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
- Technical assistance on equipment start-ups of equipment
- Complete appropriate paperwork for each job
