Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment at client sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install mechanical and electrical systems at client sites to ensure operational readiness
- Inspect and repair industrial machinery, including steel strapping and pallet handling equipment, to maintain functionality
- Perform routine maintenance and respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime
- Diagnose technical issues using knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and related systems to provide effective solutions
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records for client and internal use
- Communicate clearly with clients to explain repairs and recommend preventive maintenance measures
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction
Required competencies and certifications
- NITEC, Diploma, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in field service or technical support roles
- Proficient knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and industrial machinery operation and troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel locally and overseas
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working independently and managing time effectively in field service environments
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is advantageous
- Prior experience specifically with PLC systems
