Field Service Technician
Main areas of responsibility include:
Customer Support & On-Site Servicing: Travel to international client sites to train our customers, understand their needs, execute preventive maintenance, perform quality control checks, replace components and deploy hardware/software updates.
Remote Diagnostics & Issue Resolution: Provide rapid diagnostic and issue resolution support for control systems, hardware and user interfaces, helping global clients optimise system performance.
Cross-Functional & Project Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with customer IT/technical leads as well as internal Phenospex teams (Sales, Application Support, and R&D). Provide feedback to Project Managers for long-term issue resolution and direct mitigation steps.
Ticket Resolution & Feedback: Own the domain-specific technical tickets, logging activity in our CRM/ticketing systems and submitting resolution reports back to Application Support while channeling feedback into product improvements. Communicate resolution outcomes to our customers clearly and promptly.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by strictly adhering to health and safety regulations in both our home workshop and on customer sites.
You also bring:
Educational Background: A vocational technical degree (MBO / Associate degree / HNC) or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or equivalent practical field experience.
Hands-on Experience: Practical experience in field service, technical support or electromechanical maintenance (preferably with complex automated equipment or sensor systems).
Technical Core: Can diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical or software‑ related issues using defined procedures. Understanding of agricultural/phenotyping technologies is a plus.
Customer focus & communication: Genuine interest in customer success, patient, empathetic and solutions-oriented. Full professional proficiency in English.
