Field Service Technician

SUMMARY
The Field Service Technician will provide installation, field service and technical support for Ranger products, equipment and technology packages. This position requires frequent travel to field offices, customer locations, and remote sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide field service and technical support
Support, maintain, and service Ranger products and technology offerings including but not limited to, rig monitoring systems

Initiate troubleshooting, report issues in a timely manner, identify root cause and partake in devising a solution
Conduct field installations and calibrations of hardware and equipment

Repair specialized products, electronic components, and equipment at rig sites

Perform field upgrades of software and hardware
Collaborate closely with and train field personnel and equipment operators to effectively execute operations or procedures
Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner
Ability to work cross functionally with procurement and external vendors
Responsible for inventory control of parts, hardware and field service supplies

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Maintain the highest level of professionalism and work with honesty and integrity, maintaining customer service
Ability to travel as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Must pass a national background check and a motor vehicle report
High School Degree and/or equivalent education with 5+ years’ experience preferred

General knowledge of oilfield operations or experience in field service is a plus
Bi-lingual preferred but not required
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Collaboration, teamwork, strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
Understanding and adherence to company specific and industry safety procedures

COMPUTER

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Information Technology or data science is a plus
