Field Service Technician (Salt Lake City, UT)
Summary
On-site technician installs, maintains, and repairs thermal cooling systems for data centers and commercial buildings, traveling 50-75% across the U.S. to perform HVAC, refrigeration, and hydronic work.
ThermalWorks LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team, working directly with the thermal works team as well as local contractors, focusing on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all thermal works equipment. There is a 75% travel requirement within the United States.
We are looking for someone who is a detail-oriented individual who is goal-oriented with a foundational knowledge in HVAC. This individual should have good written and verbal communication skills. The Service Technician needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person can work both independently and with a team.

Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Manage Preventative Maintenance and Service schedules.
- Perform on-site quality Control for the installation of Thermal Works products
- Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients
- Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
- Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule
- Collaboration with different departments within the company for product development and improvement
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of thermal works equipment.
- 50% travel requirement within the United States.
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience
- 608 EPA certification
- Experience in Mechanical Critical Infrastructure Service and Maintenance
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Base line circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- knowledge of hydronic systems
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Understand refrigeration theory as well as hands-on applied sciences
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Ability to read drawings at a basic level
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day
