Field Support Calibration/Service Technician

About the Role

Tektronix is seeking a highly motivated Field Support Calibration Technician / Engineer to join our service organization in Germany. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for performing onsite calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and basic repair of electronic test and measurement equipment at customer locations. You will serve as a trusted technical representative of Tektronix, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

This position requires strong technical expertise, a quality-driven mindset, and the ability to independently manage onsite calibration projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite calibration and adjustment of electronic test & measurement equipment at customer locations across Germany.
  • Execute moderate to high-complexity calibrations, including General Purpose and RF instruments, in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Troubleshoot out-of-tolerance equipment and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Lead and coordinate onsite calibration projects, managing the end-to-end calibration process.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements, quality standards, and measurement uncertainty principles.
  • Create accurate calibration records, certificates, labels, and service documentation using internal systems and MET/CAL software.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, delivering outstanding service and technical support.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence while representing Tektronix professionally at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Measurement Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair of electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025, measurement uncertainty principles, and quality management systems is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Fluent in German and English, with willingness to travel across Germany.
